    Quick Retail Matting for Superga

    Italian trainer brand, Superga, was setting up shop on the iconic King’s Road, London. With tight deadlines for fit-out and longer term maintenance considerations, the European matting product originally specified was causing some logistical problems. So, flooring contractor, and long-term partner, DC Flooring asked for our help.

    Everything had been built to accommodate the 17mm European Matting product, so the new system had to fit the prepared matwell. It also had to meet Superga’s brand style and performance criteria. Plus, we deliver in days, not weeks – thanks to UK manufacturing and solid stock levels.

    Small but Mighty Retail Entrance Matting

    With a small mat area, just 1m x 1.5m, exposed to the elements, they needed a hard-working Entrance Matting system. DC Flooring knew our range of products would be practical, robust and available at short notice, after installing many of our products at different projects over the years.

    They hadn’t worked with INTRAflow before but it is ideal. The drainage channels look like the original Italian product but without the fiddly PVC connectors. The channels draw excess water and dirt away from the fibres, keeping them drier and cleaner for better absorbency. It’s a great product for exposed locations and can be used with fibre, brush or rubber inserts.

    UK Manufacturing Meets Italian Design

    The 608 Black Elite insert is the workhorse of our fibre range. The high-quality, high-density fibres provide excellent scraping action to remove a lot of the dirt. Plus, the 100% recycled fibres are highly absorbent (5.4L/m2) and can withstand even the toughest commercial uses. And black hides dirt, stains and spills – it will never go out of style.

    INTRAflow has a thin recycled aluminium profile, providing a more premium aesthetic with no less rigidity. The interlocking planks make installation much easier too, as you can slot them into place. No wires, PVC connectors or accessories in sight. We’ve hidden the male and female joints in the channels for a seamless and refined look. All in all, it’s ‘bellissimo’.
