    Creative Cut Entrance Matting

    GIA Architecture and Design helped Club 3000 design and build two new, purpose-built Bingo clubs in Blackpool and Edinburgh. Club 3000 has an iconic purple brand which GIA’s design combines with touches of gold, grey and natural wood tones.

    Geometric shapes and texture fill the venue for a dynamic design effect. They had devised a hexagonal entrance sign for each new venue and was keen to find a hard-wearing geometric Entrance Matting design that fit within their budget.

    INTRAlux Elite For The Win

    After discussions and reviewing the site plans, we suggested our INTRAlux Elite sheet fibre cut to the shape of their choice. We provided samples and did a few design tests, then GIA and Club 3000 finalised the specification for the first venue in Blackpool. Then, it was just a couple of weeks from order to install for this new, exciting Edinburgh club.

    INTRAlux Elite is a high-performing sheet fibre made from Econyl – a 100% recycled nylon made from waste plastics, mainly recovered from oceans. Despite its budget price tag, it packs a punch in all commercial settings. The combination of coarse and fine fibres helps scrape debris while the high fibre content makes sure it’s hard-wearing, absorbent and comfortable.

    Tailored Design to Minimise Waste

    Using the site plans for the prepared entrance areas our team produced drawings to work out the best size and layout for the hexagons in order to avoid waste. Each cut tile fills the gap on the opposite side. Then we custom cut each tile, packed in boxes and supplied to site along with the drawings.

    The tessellating hexagonal pattern was specified in INTRAlux Elite Purple 609, Black 608 and Grey 606 to represent the strong brand colour scheme.

    Standing The Test of Time

    Having successfully completed the Blackpool venue a year earlier, GIA and Club 3000 were already confident in the performance of the INTRAlux Elite matting. Its success at the Edinburgh Club 3000 is largely due to the extensive square footage installed and its ability to handle multi-directional traffic.
