Beautiful and durable entrance
Designed by world famous architects Foster and Partners, 200 Gray’s Inn Road was built for ITN in 1990 as its headquarters and broadcasting hub. The iconic building, owned by The Great Ropemaker Partnership, a 50:50 venture between Great Portland Estates plc and Ropemaker Properties Ltd (part of the BP Pension Fund Ltd). They provide high quality offices and TV studio space for multiple tenants including ITN, ITV and Channel 4. Find out how our Entrance Matting is playing a crucial role in maintaining the interior aesthetics of the building at the highest standards possible.
The challenge for such a location is to provide a high level of aesthetic design to create a great first impression on clients and visitors whilst being highly practical in terms of functionality and durability. INTRAsystems worked closely with Conran + Partners (appointed as architects for Cat B works within the ground floor reception & café area) to ensure the Entrance Matting would meet both the design and practical needs of the project – echoing the clean lines and reception desk design whilst preventing the ingress of dirt and moisture into the building which can ruin the internal aesthetics and damage the flooring beyond.
INTRAflex XT Entrance Matting was used to create a stunning design without compromising on functionality. Combined with INTRAlux Linear heavy-duty polypropylene fibre, the internal matting at 200 Gray’s Inn Road forms a beautiful and durable entrance.
INTRAform Radial Entrance Matting was utilised in the revolving doors to offer unrivalled moisture absorption capabilities to complete this robust entrance matting system.
By working directly with architects and designers, INTRAsystems offer both functional and design-led solutions ensuring our entrance matting systems work in harmony with the overall look and feel of the building. Whilst aesthetically stunning, this bespoke, cut-into-stone solution for Gray’s Inn Road, also provides the optimum walk off area to trap dirt and moisture to prevent it entering the building beyond.
