Using INTRAflex XT bronze profiles with truffle inserts, the entrance matting at EightyFen blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of the building.
Completed in Q4 2020, EightyFen welcomes visitors into a double-height foyer, incorporating wood detailing throughout; from flooring and partitioning to ceiling baffles and balustrading.
The juxtaposition of warm tones, textures and a strong linear aesthetic creates a contemporary and welcoming communal space for tenants and visitors alike.
High-End Specification
INTRAflex XT is the perfect specification for this high-end design space that aims to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Manufactured from 100% recycled aluminium, this strong, high-performance system comes with a 10-year warranty reducing the need for frequent replacement.
The aluminium profiles connect with rubber strips which allow the matting to roll up for ease of cleaning. While individual entrance matting profiles can also be easily replaced should they ever become damaged.
The heavy-duty looped pile inserts provide additional scraper action to help remove dirt and grit. Ultimately protecting interior flooring and furnishings, minimising the need for cleaning, and extending their lifespan.
Sizing and Performance
The matting stretches 20 metres across the reception space, encompassing both revolving doors and the disabled pass door. Measuring 3192mm deep at its narrowest point ensures adequate footsteps on the mat to keep the front of house space clean and slip-free.
This exceeds both the BS7953 and WELL standard recommended minimums of 2100 mm and 3000 mm, respectively.
Disabled Access
Entry via the pass door includes a slight incline around a left-hand turn. The extra length of matting in this design ensures water and debris is thoroughly removed from even the largest wheelchair wheel.
