    Attention to detail

    Set in the grounds of the PegasusLife grade II listed Wildernesse Estate, the Wildernesse Restaurant features a uniquely delicate entrance matting design.

    Designed by Morris+Company, the restaurant is a gridwork of timber arches and simple, repeated elements.

    The muted timber and stone interior and softly curving lines allows the landscape to become the focal point, with large arched glass panels giving way to expansive views of the estate. The warm honey tones and materiality minimise visual disturbance to provide a peaceful dining and social space for residents.

    With exquisite attention to detail, the design language is applied to every aspect of the development, including the entrance mat. Using our INTRAtech system, the entrance matting artfully imitates the tiled floor beyond.

    By replicating the shape, pattern and colours of the flooring tiles, the entrance mat blends seamlessly with the floor, drawing the eye straight to the exterior landscape as the architect intended.

    Product Features

    INTRAtech entrance matting is an exceptionally durable system, designed for high traffic areas. The modular tile design allows for easy cleaning and replacement. The low profile design of the INTRAtech system makes it suitable for both recessed mat wells as shown here and for surface mounted applications using a ramped trim.

    The high-strength aluminium tiles feature shock-absorbing cushioned feet to provide a luxurious feel underfoot, making this system a favourite with high-end car showrooms including BMW and Ferrari.

    The system is compatible with a wide range of fibre inserts including our ultra-absorbent INTRAlux Select and INTRAlux Elite ranges made from 100% Econyl. Compatible fibre ranges come in 15 different colours as standard. Many more colours are available on request including the ‘wild rice’ and ‘antique rose’ shades used at Wildernesse Restaurant.
