    Sustainable and Effective Retail Entrance Matting

    INTRAsystems is the brand-approved retail Entrance Matting supplier for the Co-operative group. They recently updated the specification to recycled PVC INTRAlinkĀ² system for all new and refurbished stores thanks to its high-performing, cost-effective and sustainable credentials. Plus, INTRA provides a range of fitting methods which offer excellent flexibility to suit varied store settings.

    For example, the new Entrance Mat at Pitlochry Co-op features INTRAlinkĀ² with a ramped trim made from 100% recycled aluminium. As part of the storeā€™s upgrade, there wasnā€™t any opportunity for a recessed matwell, but the Entrance Mat still needed to be accessible, welcoming and durable enough for the high-traffic convenience setting.

    Manufactured to Meet Modern Retail Needs

    Without a recessed matwell Co-op opted for the 12mm ramped aluminium trim to surface-mount INTRAlink2 securely. Made of 100% recycled aluminium, this product is extremely robust and available in a range of finishes, ensuring a smooth transition into the store. Customers using wheelchairs, trollies, pushchairs or walking aids can safely cross the threshold on entry and exit.

    Combined with the modular tiles of INTRAlinkĀ², the whole Entrance Mat was installed quickly and easily out of hours with minimal disruption to customers, staff or trade. This remains a crucial factor for Co-op chosing INTRAsystems and this combination of products for their nationwide upgrade programme.

    Meeting Co-opā€™s stringent requirements, INTRAlux Elite fibre is exceptionally durable, practical and sustainable. Made with ECONYLĀ® regenerated nylon, the innovative fibre repurposes waste nylons from sea plastics, manufacturing waste and the clothing industry. Plus, it can be infinitely recycled.

    The fibre inserts incorporate tough monofilaments to scrape and trap dirt, and provide excellent moisture absorption ā€“ crucial in smaller retail environments where space is at a premium. The chosen 607 Anthracite colour complements the iconic Co-opā€™s branding and has a subtle fleck that effectively conceals dirt, further enhancing the visual appeal and creating a positive first impression for customers.
