The business dictionary defines innovation as “the process of translating an idea or invention into a good or service that creates value or for which customers will pay”. Looking at the history, some of the major companies we know today started in a garage or a shed; Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Facebook. They all had the thriving ambition to take an innovative idea and give it to the people. Whether this is connecting the world with one touch, making shopping easier, making searching things on the internet a piece of cake or putting music in the pockets of millions of users, these innovations have helped create a better world.
Innovation is however synonymous with risk-taking organisations that create revolutionary products or technologies, these companies definitely take on the greatest risk because they create new markets and are known as destructive innovators.
What does Innovation mean to us?
Innovation starts with having the right mindset, the majority of any manufacturing environment is characterised by the all-important processes that work together to create something beautiful or functional at the end of it. Every product has a story behind its existence. At INTRAsystems we have made products that don’t stand testament to the generic development process, instead, they stand testament to our skill in making the very best products we can because we know people will use them, install them, see them and appreciate the importance of them as they enhance the building they are in.
Our philosophy has always been to innovate and enhance buildings by design.
Follow us on LinkedIn to see regular updates on the buildings we’re enhancing through product innovation and great entrance matting design.
