Where has the first half of the year gone?
It’s been a busy six months at INTRAsystems, so we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on some of the great projects we’ve worked on recently. From large scale office installations to restaurants and cinemas, we asked the team about their favourite installations and why.

200 Grays Inn Road by Conran + Partners |
| ||
Why: | “The matting design creates a real statement and from a technical perspective the design is optimised for maximum dirt removal to keep the reception in its stunning condition. INTRAflex XT is a really versatile product which enabled us to come up with a highly effective design for the project.”
The Building: | Built for ITN in 1990 as its headquarters and broadcasting hub, 200 Grays Inn Road now provides high quality office and TV studio space for multiple tenants. The architect wanted to enhance the space with a high impact reception design that wouldn’t compromise on function.
The Solution: | Working with Conran + Partners (appointed as architects for Cat B works within the ground floor reception & café area), INTRAflex XT was used to create a bespoke entrance matting system that provides superior dirt and moisture absorption. The design works in harmony with the overall look and feel of the reception area with the graduating inserts echoing the stairs and reception desk beyond. The Building: | Located in the heart of one of Mayfair’s most prestigious commercial streets, 24-25 Grosvenor Street is a multi-occupied office building. With two entrances, each providing only a small area to work with, the contractor needed a high-quality design solution that would befit its location, whilst also providing superior performance.
The Solution: | Two totally bespoke entrance designs were created using INTRAdisc and INTRAform Double Module cut into stone. Full case study and image gallery coming soon. |

Nando’s Warrington by FUSION Design and Architecture
Why: | “This was the first install of our new INTRAshape product and it’s great to see how FUSION has used it to transform the small space. Each Nando’s restaurant has its own unique and vibrant design so INTRAshape was the perfect choice.”
The Building: | As part of Nando’s continuing cycle of restaurant refurbishments, the Warrington restaurant reopened its doors to show off a range of unique design features, original South African art and its signature blend of colour and pattern. With such a small area, the team needed an entrance mat that would provide exceptional performance without compromising their multi-pattern design aesthetic.
The Solution: | Using the INTRAshape hexagon tile, combined with anthracite and black fibre, FUSION Design and Architecture has created a high impact design that sits perfectly with the restaurant’s unique décor. Find out more about the Nando’s Warrington project. |

The Building: | One Drummond Gate is a 100,000 sq ft office building, offering bright, open plan accommodation and great views across central London. The building needed to replace its worn entrance matting to ensure a safe, clean building and create a good first impression on visitors and tenants.

Odeon Leicester Square by Ellis Williams Architects
Why: | “The multiple colours used in the matting blend so perfectly with the art deco feel of the building and I love the way the matting continues the chevron pattern of the wooden flooring. It was great to work with the architects to bring this exciting design to life.”
The Building: | The 11-month refurbishment of Odeon Luxe Leicester Square successfully blended the glamour of the original art deco building with modern innovative cinema technology. With smooth marble flooring and high levels of multi-directional traffic, the entrance matting needed to provide maximum dirt and moisture absorption without compromising the heritage aesthetic.
The Solution: | To sit alongside the chevron wooden parquet, marble and gilt interior, Ellis Williams Architects specified bronze anodised INTRAform Low Profile with graduating tones of grey and blue INTRAlux Elite fibre to create a stunning art deco design.
